COMPOST SCREENING

Compost screening

Benefit from our experience in composting!

Compost screening made easy – with the XAVA vibrating screens!

Here are some tips for use of LS24 or LS28:

– Operation without chute and separating plate
– Square mesh screen or harp screen with woven wires

Screening to a final size of 10mm:
Upper deck: 16mm Square mesh screen
Lower deck: 10mm Square mesh screen or harp screen with woven wires for humid material

Screening to a final size 16mm:
Upper deck: 32mm Square mesh screen
Lower deck: 16mm Square mesh screen

Check the advantages of a vibrating screen compared with a trommel screen when screening compost

  • When separating compost with a trommel screen (rotation of the drum) “compost lumps” are formed very often, which cannot arise using a vibrating screen. Vibrating screens create a finer microstructure of the compost. The compost lumps cause a loss of material or value, as they rotten internally and become useless as valuable compost. When separating compost with a trommel screen (rotation of the drum) “compost lumps” are formed very often, which cannot arise using a vibrating screen.
  • Price / performance ratio:The vibrating screen provides 50-60 m3 / h throughput with the lowest operating costs (pure electrical operation, almost no service costs, 1-man operation possible)
  • Flexible handlingneeding little working space
  • No contamination by oils and fats
  • High added value with lowest operating costs
